Q: I am not sure exactly what I need. Can you send someone out to my house to help me decide?
A: No. You will need to determine what you need. Follow the instructions below to help you decide what to order.
- Measure the space you need covered. Check your width and length. Look into the air and make sure nothing is above or in the way of where the carport is going. Check wires, overhangs, tree limbs, etc.
- Determine the height of what is going in the carport. This will allow us to size the legs correctly.
- Determine your budget.

Q: What should my carport install site be prepared like?

Q: I need my carport now. How soon can I get it?
A: 3 to 6 weeks. Sometimes faster. Every carport is made custom to each order. All frames are bent, welded and cut after the order is placed.
Q: I get a lot of snow where I am. Is this carport the best one for snow? A: No, you need to order a vertical roof steel carport with the 12 gauge frame up-grade.
Q: Do I need a permit to build a carport? A: Some areas consider the metal carports portable. To be safe call your local building office and ask. If you need a permit ask what wind load and snow load is required. We will order you a set of plans at an extra cost for our certified carports if you need them.
Q: Does the certified carport cost more?
A: Sometimes. The drawings and extra materials will add some to the price.
Q: What is the tallest carport I can order?
A: 12' foot legs give a peak height of about 15'6". We offer 16' side post on our commercial carports and we can sometimes build the smaller carports taller.
