You need to prepare the building site for your metal garage. For the best installation have the site level and the drainage around the site prepared before we come out to install the metal garage. The State of California requires a permit for most all metal garages built on a concrete floor. We do not require a permit but all our garages are certified for the state's wind and snow codes. Metal Garages California: All Superior's metal garages are built custom to each customer's order. When we talk about our metal garages we first identify the width, then we look at the length. Then figure out the height of the side wall. Most garages have a minimal side wall of 7'. A 9' side wall is really roomy and makes for a nice feel with 10' wide by 8' tall garage doors. We can go all the way to 12' tall on the sides, which is prefect for a car lift.
